At ECS Haiti, we believe in providing a nurturing, engaging, and supportive environment for children starting at the age of 3. Our kindergarten program emphasizes joyful, play-based learning that sparks curiosity and a love for education. Through small class sizes, we ensure each child receives personalized attention, fostering their unique talents and needs. Our dedicated teachers create a structured yet flexible curriculum that balances academic learning with social and emotional growth. By incorporating hands-on activities, storytelling, music, and art, we encourage children to explore their world creatively. We are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to receive a high-quality education in a safe and joyful setting.
Secondary education, crucial for preparing students for higher learning and future careers, enrolls a mere 20% of eligible-age children. This low enrollment rate underscores the limited access and opportunities available to Haitian youth as they transition from primary to secondary education.
Our primary education program is designed to provide a strong foundation in core subjects for children aged 6 to 18, ensuring they receive high-quality, equitable, and effective learning outcomes. In a country like Haiti, where access to education can be limited, we are committed to bridging that gap by offering a well-rounded curriculum that emphasizes literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking. We understand the unique challenges within the Haitian education system, and our program addresses these by providing small class sizes, experienced teachers, and a supportive learning environment. By focusing on both academic and life skills, we aim to empower every student to overcome barriers and thrive, giving them the tools they need for a brighter future.
Primary education in Haiti faces significant hurdles, with an enrollment rate of 57%, meaning less than two-thirds of primary school-age children are enrolled in school. Alarmingly, fewer than 30% of these students progress beyond the 6th grade, highlighting systemic barriers to educational continuity and advancement.
Enroll in our secondary education program, where we focus on advanced subjects and prepare students for higher education. Our curriculum meets international standards, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education that equips them for future success. With special attention to the needs of vulnerable students, we provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. Our program not only builds academic excellence but also fosters personal growth, critical thinking, and the skills necessary to succeed in a globalized world. Join us to give your child a strong foundation for their future.

At ECS Haiti, our Teacher Training Program is designed to empower educators with the latest teaching methodologies, effective classroom management techniques, and subject-specific expertise, despite the challenges we face. Aligned with international standards, we focus on fostering inclusive and engaging learning environments to meet the diverse needs of our students. Even in the face of resource constraints and other difficulties, we equip our teachers with the tools and confidence they need to succeed. By investing in our educators, we are committed to improving the quality of education at ECS and uplifting our community. Whether you are new to teaching or looking to enhance your skills, our program supports professional growth and helps make a lasting impact on our students' futures.
At ECS Haiti, our daily meal program provides nutritious, locally sourced meals to students, professors, and occasionally community members. During the pandemic and ongoing security lockdown, we also distribute food rations to the most vulnerable.
-
Sourcing fresh produce from local farmers, our program not only supports healthy eating but also offers students educational opportunities in agriculture and nutrition. This approach promotes food security and keeps more money within the community. By using locally produced Haitian rice, we help challenge the stigma around it and build trust in local farmers.
-
We serve approximately 700 plates six days a week, thanks to our dedicated cooks, Gladis and Claire, known as "Mother of Life" (Manman Lavi). This initiative has been supported by AFAW for the past two years, but as funding comes to an end, we are seeking new partnerships to continue this vital program.
